Neon sues IBM over ‘anticompetitive’ Mainframe Tactics
December 14, 2009 Neon alleges that IBM has used unfair practices including “misrepresentation, disparagement, threats of retaliation and baseless litigation” to stop potential customers from using its zPrime product. This software allows mainframe users to move mainframe workloads onto (IBM-supplied) specialty processors thereby reducing the license fees they pay to IBM.
