Best Practices on Proceedings concerning Articles 101 and 102

The European Commission’s Competition Directorate has published a set of guidelines (“explanations”) setting out how its antitrust procedures work in practice. These are intended to “make it easier for companies under investigation to understand how the investigation will proceed" and are already being applied by the Commission provisionally subject to further amendment following an ongoing consultation process.
